8 June 2017

On 7 June, St. Petersburg hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of Gazelle Business-2017 annual rating. The rating was introduced by Delovoy Petersburg newspaper and engages the fastest growing companies in the city

“Acticomp” won the nomination ‘Most sustainable Gazelle’ showing steady growth rates over the last few years. In 2014-2016, “Acticomp” grew by 159%, bringing its turnover to 810 million rubles.

According to Alexander Semyonov, “Acticomp” occupies about 10% of the Russian market of pharmaceutical substances. The businessman explained the company’s sustainability and growth by the fact that it is export-oriented and tries to develop new markets. “Acticomp” is already working with manufacturers from Serbia and Belarus, and at the end of 2017 it will launch deliveries to Germany. Now the volume of export is about 5% of revenue, however, according to Alexander Semenov, by 2020 the figure may increase to 30%.

All participants of the 2017 rating noted the government focus on export. St. Petersburg small and medium-sized businesses actively enter global markets and have already covered dozens of countries with their goods and services. It turned out that they care no longer about the financial, but rather the legislative support of the state.
